Your Privacy Matters

All journal entries, mood logs, emotional notes, and personal reflections are stored locally on your device only. This data never leaves your device unless you explicitly enable iCloud Sync.

If you enable iCloud Sync, your data is stored in your private, end-to-end encrypted iCloud account. MoodCanvas has zero access to the content of your journals.

We never read, analyze, process, or derive insights from the content of your journal entries — on our servers or anywhere else.

We never create psychological profiles, infer mental health conditions, or build behavioral models from your mood data.

Your mood or journal data is never shared with health insurers, employers, researchers, advertisers, or any third party — under any circumstances.

We do not use your personal mood data for research of any kind without your explicit, informed, and freely given consent.

All mood-check reminders and notification content are generated locally on your device. Notification content is never transmitted to any server.

Adjust or disable all notifications at any time from iOS Settings → Notifications → MoodCanvas.

You can export all your journal entries and mood history in JSON or plain text format at any time from Settings → Export Data.

Deleting your data from Settings → Delete All Data permanently removes everything from your device immediately. iCloud data is removed within 30 days.

You can request complete account deletion by contacting us. All associated data is permanently deleted within 30 days.

We collect aggregate, anonymized data such as which themes are used most. This data contains no journal content, mood values, or any personally identifiable information.

Disable analytics entirely from Settings → Privacy.
